How do I book a photo session with you?
Fill out my contact form, and I aim to respond within 48 hours of receiving any new messages! Messaging me @jaymemckennaphoto on Instagram also works. Once everything is finalized, you’ll receive a contract along with an invoice for a non-refundable retainer of around 15% depending on the session type. Your date is officially secured once both have been completed.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Travel within 30 minutes of Roseville is included with your session. For locations beyond that range, an additional travel fee may apply. After you submit a contact form, I’ll send over my location guide, which includes some of my favorite and most frequently photographed locations, along with the predetermined travel fees for each area. Any other locations, I will create a custom travel quote.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
All wedding and elopement packages are delivered within 4 weeks of capturing them. Lifestyle packages take 3 weeks to be delivered.
Can I order prints or albums through you?
Through your personal online gallery, there is an option to order prints directly through a third party online printing and delivery site, and it ships right to your door.
do i get any access to raw photos?
Under no circumstances do I send any RAW or unedited images. Part of my packages include hand-culling and hand-editing your gallery.
how long do you keep raw images for and do you allow edits after delivery?
I hold onto all RAW images for 1 month after delivering your final gallery, and any changes to your gallery must be requested within 1 month of delivery.
How long do i have access to my gallery?
Your entire gallery is online for 6 months, free to download any and all images. After 6 months, the gallery is not deleted, but it does go offline to make space for new galleries! If you ever need access to your images again, I charge a $20 fee to re-open the gallery for downloads for 1 week.
Do you allow rescheduling?
I do, so long as the reschedule is do-able. During winter months, I do not reschedule due to rain - I will reschedule if driving conditions become unsafe or in the case of extreme wind and stormy weather. I understand that life happens, and re-scheduling is sometimes necessary.
Do you help with planning and posing?
Absolutely! I’ll guide you throughout your entire session with posing that feels flattering, effortless, and connected, while still leaving room for genuine moments to unfold.
I’m also here to help with the planning side of things from choosing locations that fit your vision to creating timelines and shot lists for elopements and weddings. My goal is to make the entire experience feel intentional, comfortable, and stress-free from start to finish.
